You have just read the title correctly, Issue 52 is out now and available from your preferred mosher or alternative emporium, such as but not limited to, skate stores, art galleries, breweries and one time in a Glaswegian TK Maxx (somehow).
On the cover we have Mark Gonzales homaging himself photographed by Zander Taketomo surrounded by his own artwork. We're always very proud of our covers, photo-wise and art-wise but this is obviously a little bit surreal. We also have a medley of Gonz skate photos and artwork inside for you to enjoy. Again, pretty surreal. Mega thanks to Gonz and Al Boglio for making this happen.
In this issue with a trip to Baku in Azerbaijan photographed by Luke Kroon who also chaired a conversation with Rio O'Byrne, Cilian Fitzpatrick, Jack Thompson, Jacob & Nick Vieweg. Be on the look out for the video made by Nick dropping soon!
Taking a break from angle grinding social clubs to answer our questions, Pleasure gave us their top 3's to various arcane but also strangely relevant topics conducted by our man on the ground, sometimes the air and often on the coping, Jono Coote.
Maintaining the momentum on the board and in the journalistic realm, Jono joined the Dungeon squad on a trip from the Team Trouble LAAX event to Italy snagging a photie and conjuring up the experience in written form. There's illustrations from French and photography from Rybo (apart from one snap by Tom Disney where Rybo jumped in front of the lens). Not satisfied with just the one for of media documentation, Rybo has also made an edit that will be live soon enough.
Creative mastermind behind Garden Skateboards Kieron Forbes has put together a Garden in Prague article, written and laid out by himself with photography from Felix Adler. Aesthetically very pleasing as to be expected.
We have the usual skate gallery filled with flippity, dippity stunt burgers with all manner of architectural condiments and sides.
We have graciously received artwork from Sami Graystone, Max Whetter, Mike O'Shea, Johanna Wilson & Russ Longmire to try and keep all of your pretty minds entertained.
Concluding the issue outside of all of the adverts (which we are super appreciative of, especially considering today's fragile economy) is everyone's favourite overheard comedic quotes segment. That's right it's Skate Shop Quotes courtesy of Dave Tyson, who also has a collab with his fabulous hardware company Missing Bolt with Leeds' premier independent skate store Welcome. So if you want to support these fine institutions go anx cop!
Thanks to everyone who gives a toss, we appreciate it loads!
